ZLOTNICK SEALS FATE

I had this sent to me as a response on another post for when I wrote on the goings on at City Hall, but I thought it would be better to put it as a stand alone.  Thank you for the following:

The post:
"It would seem that Ms. Zlotnick sealed her own fate with her closing testimony yesterday.  If she taped conversations between office staff knowing she was filing a suit as a whistle blower she has made it clear that she is in this for money and her statements “Friday, McCarthy cross-examined her about her concerns with Kellner-Chille’s assessment, during which she admitted, “I am not qualified to know what her assessment is supposed to be.”

“So you don’t have any qualifications but you have opinions, isn’t that what it comes down to?” he asked her.

“Am I qualified as an assessor? No,” she responded. “Can I have concerns about assessments in my neighborhood? Yes.”
Zlotnick who was supposed to be looking out for seniors who couldn’t or (didn’t) know how to grieve their assessments was a lie as she was only worried about, in her words, her neighborhood.

If anyone doesn’t know how to grieve their assessments it is their own stupidity and let’s not use the growing excuse prevalent in our country ‘it’s somebody else’s fault’.

With her quoted statement, Zlotnick blew up any notion she had of a civil suit against the City.  Her attorney fees are also in question.  The attorney charges upwards of $350.00 per hour and there is concern from many citizens just who is footing the tab.  You may only have to look down the hall from the Accounts department for the answer or just follow the money to understand what is going on.

It seems to many that this may have blown up 6 months too early as a story circulating around that Johnson, Sutton and their lap dog Tighe wanted to wait for next years election, but they could not contain the very public attention seeker Zlotnick."
End.

The prevailing view point among people who are following this (which is not that many) is that Franck's office will be cleared of any illegal activity and that this was a well planned scheme to get rid of a Democrat Commissioner by a current Council member 2 seats down.  Zlotnick was well placed in the office by recommendation by Shauna Sutton (one of Zlotnick’s close friends I am told) and I think the person who is paying her legal bills promised a top notch attorney and that there could be a civil suit in it for her if she 'played the public game'. I agree that the money should be followed to see who is paying Zlotnick's legal bills because that may very well be the story.  A question to ask yourself, why would an employee who was just hired, start taping conversations and filming with her cell phone at work if there wasn't a motive in the beginning?  Just follow the money.

  1. Excellent job twisting it in John Franck's favor. But Zlotnik who was Franck's friend on the democratic committee was hired by Franck. She started taping after seeing wrong doing in department and when reporting it was told to keep her mouth shut. You seem to be banking on Zlotnik losing this case will clear Franck. He is not even close to being out of the woods on this one. This assessment scandal won't go away. In the post you claim that if you are stupid you don't deserve an assessment break. The real question here is why did he go out of is way to let rich people know to get reassessed? Or why did they get reassessed without being brought into office for evaluation. Also in post you speak of the blam game and it's always someone else's fault. Franck has done nothing but blame people from the moment he was caught. First it was Steven Towne the last assessor who hasn't been there in 8 years. Then it was Mary starting trouble. then he blamed his assistant Popoliio. Then it was the Mayor and his deputy. It was then dumped on John Tighe. He even went as far as blaming the general public who don't understand it. Everyone but himself! Your words!

  2. Well, first of all you will have to show where Franck went out of his way to get 'his rich friends' breaks. Check how many people had their assessments lowered in that time period. In the post the person who wrote about being stupid by not getting their assessments lowered is right. Free classes are offered on how to grieve your assessment, if you don't grieve that's your fault. This Franck case will be settled, it may not go away because of people like you who just want to keep it alive because of your dislike of the Commissioner.

  3. Welcome back... this is very interesting stuff... i still haven't formed a final opinion about all this and i am enjoying the dialog... i do agree that the money trail is the story, or at least the documentation of it. Keep going!

    1. Follow the trail of money right out south broadway where all the undisclosed property owners dwell. Sitting on the property until they get all the grants for additional tax assessments breaks. Using their political power to get the grants. Who owns all that property? Mr Assessment himself. Johnny boy Franck.

    2. Diane Young is not a lawyer and also Francks office was coaching Young. They were doing selective assessments even without Young. Selective assessments ARE illegal. I don't follow rumors that ome out of city hall nor do I follow the mayor. Especially THIS mayor.

  4. No they did not even have to go and grieve. They just went ahead and changed them. Must be nice to have the extra $500 to do that. You act like people have just made all these accusations up out of thin air. That's what I call either delusional or covering up a much bigger agenda of the Commissioner which you may be a part of.

    1. "This Franck case will be settled, it may not go away because of people like you who just want to keep it alive because of your dislike of the Commissioner:. I replied to you and this was part of what I said. You keep proving my point. You have to calm down and take the foil off your head, there is no conspiracy here, and in fact the answer to your accusation is simple, without me siding with Franck. You said "No they did not even have to go and grieve. They just went ahead and changed them. Must be nice to have the extra $500 to do that." I'll break it down for you and maybe you can see why you don't make sense. Have you ever been to court? Have you ever hired an attorney to represent you, does this attorney work for nothing? Well, take the case of this Diane Young. If you don't want to grieve your own assessment you can hire someone to represent you, after signing a document that they can represent you. You do not have to be at the hearing as you gave that person (in this case Diane Young) your 'power of attorney’ just for the assessment case. Like the attorney, should she not get paid? She sets her own rates as a business person and if you are willing to have her represent you and you agree to pay her fee then everything is LEGAL. Any homeowner can hire someone like Ms. Young for a fee to do the same thing, if they choose not to do so and want to grieve their assessments themselves then that's great; Franck even offers free classes on how to grieve your assessment. Now Zlotnick says there was something wrong with this process because it should be available to all, it is Ms. Zlotnick, if you want to pay. This is nothing coming out of thin air, I am not delusional and if everything is found to be baseless then it will be YOUR burden to prove there is a bigger cover up.

PS: You may want to get free legal help on how to destroy any Republican or Democrat Mayor Johnson dislikes by the Mayor himself. It beginning to look more and more Ms. Zlotnick did, if the rumors coming out of City Hall are true.

I hope that this was simple enough for you, but I doubt you won't even think about it.

  5. the big rumor, which from what I can tell is true, is that Sutton and Johnson were hoping to spring all of this on us next summer. But Zlotnick went off script at her first disciplinary hearing and got all of this out there about 12 months too early. That is what happens when your planted double agent turns out to be an attention seeking nut case.

    1. ... yet as a pre-emptive strike, not bad. Regardless of merit and even a year away, it's bound to have some impact... it's not like everyone's gonna get amnesia.

    2. I don't think that many people are into this as you may think. It's been lacking in news coverage from everyone because it looks like it was a set up job anyways, although it's good to have department reviews. The papers have reported what has been said in the hearings which is not what you read on some blog. You would think you were in a different dimension if you listen to or believe the 'Big Salami' JT.

  6. Captain America! DELUSIONAL! Your hero John Franck screwed up at the hearing! Now Mary is getting paid! So it is starting to look obvious that he was wrong. He was called out by Popolozio and Zlotnik. His chief witness(his deputy)was seen ready to attack Zlotnik at the hearing because she was caught in a pickle. Franck gave her a nice healthy tax assessment break. Like many of his other friends.

    1. Thank you for your comment. However, John Franck is not my hero, Wonder Woman is and if Franck is guilty, he should pay the price but if he is found not guilty then it should be done and over, but I have an idea that if that is the case there will be some that just won't be able to let go because they didn't get a chance to ruin someone's life. I also want to thank you for proving my point in my prior reply.

  7. Why jump to the conclusion that I will continue to go after Franck if he is not Guilty? How about giving Zlotnik the benefit of the doubt until she is proven guilty? Maybe her coming forward is going to be good for the city? I believe they would have released her if she was totally wrong. Franck has been known to having his hand in the pie and not caring who ends up paying the price.

  8. If you feel that way, then I commend you. I know there are some that will just keep this going and going even if the department is proven innocent. Like I said before, if they are found guilty, they must pay the price. Thanks
