I would never want to cast aspersions on our great Planning Board but it does surprise me that only 1 member (Amy Durland) had comments about the movie theater project that Sonny Bonacio will develop but only if we pay for it.
The Saratogian reports, “It’s a good problem to have,” said Board Chair L. Clifford Van Wagner. “There are a lot of cities that would like to have that many people downtown.”
This guy must have his head where it doesn’t belong. Most cities don’t want the traffic problems Saratoga
I would hope the Design Review Committee will come to a sane decision and throw this idea out the window, well we can always hope.
Scott Johnson has really hurt our city with all this developing going on. He is not the only one on that council that is reaping the benefits. Commissioner Franck is all about development and always hides from the limelight while his own properties prosper. These two have to go.

Interesting facts about Franck. Had Ken Ivins on his payroll when Ivins was on city council. Once Ivins lost he cut ivins loose. Scott Johnson appoints Ken Ivins to Housing Authority board and Franck rehires Ivins. What's going on here? Is he pulling strings with Ivins?
ReplyDeleteFirst, what 'fact' have you got about Ivins getting paid by Franck? Did Ivins work on his computers which is what he did for a living? Regarding the SHA, the rumor that floated around was that Johnson had asked 3 other people to be on the Board and they all 3 turned him down and he needed to make a decision ASAP so he choose Ivins and he jumped at the chance. It shows the good old boy's network is alive and well in Saratoga Springs.

If you foil information you will be placed on this list and never see your information. 5 working days to be acknowledged, another 20 working days for a decision to be made yes or no and then some more time just for good measure while they consider attorney client privilege so a month and a half later you are sol.It is impossible to get any relevant or timely information from the City.
The City is so bad that the NYACLU won the Taser case against the city and was awarded damages of $12000 for the first time ever in NYS.
