Fourth of July Small-Town Celebrations

ABC News Explore has listed Saratoga Springs as #5 out of 11 small towns 4th of July celebrations.

Quoting from the article:
"Several of the celebrations in the Northeast have a seriously historic bent, such as Saratoga's annual All-American Celebration, which kicks off with the "Family, Freedom and Founding Fathers" parade. Following is a party at Congress Park, where attendees can take historic tours and meet "Ben Franklin," "General Burgoyne" and many other historical re-enactors."

Over the last 4 years or so when the City stopped funding the July 4th celebrations, a local citizens group started an effort to solicit donations from businesses and the public to make Saratoga Springs celebration worthy of this distinction.

I would like to thank Kate Jarosh, who was one of the first citizens to step up to the plate to not only keep our Nation's birthday alive but vastly improve on our previous years events.

To everyone a Happy 4th of July
